ABOUT VRR

Since its inception, the Veteran Support Rapid Reaction (VRR) association has intended to provide financial assistance in the form of cash and gift cards between donors and those seeking assistance from the target group of veterans abroad.
This is with the hope of not only preventing financial damage, but equally, to convey the sense of community and caring that is often shared by veterans abroad during their service - with the premise that the same sense of togetherness and caring should also prevail among veterans here at home.

Our goal is to provide short-term emergency financial assistance to veterans and we work unconditionally, focusing on the financial aspect of the problem.

As a veterans' association, we are of course aware that the need for help can extend far beyond just financial assistance.
We are therefore careful to point out that we as an association cannot solve everyone's problems or all problems - but we help where we can.
We work entirely according to the motto: No one can do everything – but everyone can do something!

It is important to realize that VRR's assistance is not a replacement for, for example, social services' income support or the responsibility that rests with other authorities, but should be seen as a complement to these.
We also believe that our limited area of assistance does not prevent us from helping the foreign veteran seeking help to find adequate assistance from another association, organization or association.

MAYBE SOMEONE IS WONDERING

“How do you know that the aid is going to the right place, that it is not being used for the wrong purpose?”
The simple answer is that we don't know!
The whole idea behind the association is that those seeking help should not be met by a rigid and bureaucratic organization that asks a lot of, sometimes irrelevant, uncomfortable and privacy-violating questions in various ways.
– that you are not made suspicious, scrutinized and humiliated in an already vulnerable situation.

With a minimum of bureaucracy, we just want to ensure that the person seeking help is a veteran serving abroad and what kind of help they need - and then try to provide that help with the help of you as a donor and your goodwill!

We ask you and everyone who might consider supporting our idea to:
Keep your minds open, together we can make a difference and we will make a huge difference for those reached by our help.

We who have now started this are convinced that together we can create something fantastic here and continue to help our veteran friends just as we did out on the mission - directly and without asking why!

…AND SOMEONE MAY BE WONDERING

“How do I know that those behind the association are really using the funds correctly?”
All financial compensation paid to those seeking help is recorded in the association's accounting records in accordance with good accounting practice, and the transactions can then be traced back if irregularities are suspected.
Furthermore, VRR is an association that prepares an annual report and annual report, which accounts for the association's finances in connection with the association's statutory annual meeting.

BRIEF BACKGROUND TO VRR

The idea behind starting VVR was born at the very beginning of 2014 when a spontaneous fundraiser for an overseas veteran in financial difficulty was started on a social forum on the Internet.
The willingness to help that was shown among foreign veterans throughout our country was a force that had to be harnessed, and therefore VRR was formed as a complement to other veteran organizations operating in Sweden.
VRR is a young association and all work is done on a voluntary basis alongside regular professional work, which means that we are not professionals - but that the will exists to try to achieve an improvement for those affected.

Anyone who wants to help can donate via our Plusgiro account 708415-5.

Contributions received will go to: unabridged to help foreign veterans in financial difficulty in accordance with the association's statutes.
With unabridged, so we also mean unabridged – no board fees or other compensation are paid to people active in the association. All materials and costs for the association's operation are paid for as far as possible by collected funds, free services from companies and private individuals.”

As a donor, you can be assured that every single krona you donate to VRR goes to veterans abroad seeking help!
